Conservation Values: Includes panoramic views of the Pisgah National Forest. forests of mature mizd hardwoods, diverse plant habitats including understory plant communities of rhododendron, mountain laurel and annual and perennial herbs, some of which are recognized as rare; includes wildlife habitat for large mammal species (bear and bobcat), wild turkey, grouse barrel owl and red tailed hawk, small song birds, and neotropical migratory birds.
