In TNCs Mid-Cumberland Gorges Terrestrial Priority Conservation Area and Collins River Aquatic priority area. Contains rare (S2S3) Cumberland Seepage Forest. AMJV lists Wood Thrush, Prairie Warbler, and Hooded Warbler observed as species of conservation concern.
