Conservation Values: Important habitats such as cove and old growth, mixed pine. hardwood forest, springs. boulderfields and rock and cliff outcrops, Serves uncommon natual communites recognized as significant by the NC Dept. of Natural and Cultural Resources; Contians rare and threatened plant species: Ginseng, Goldie's Wood fern, Broadlead Coreopsis and animals: Eastern Box Turtle, Northern Flicker, Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, Hairy Woodpecker, and Eastern Wood-Pewee.
