Conservation Values: Visibility from Gilmore Lodge and Ike Brooks Roads, and Highway 421. Two tributaries of Tick Creek. Part of Upper Rocky River Local Watershed Plan to understand and better manage high-priority local watersheds. Field Sparrow and Eastern Kingbird observed are in NC SWAP. Early successional and oak forest habitats are designated important in NC SWAP. Proximity to Ore Hill and Woods Bend Natural Areas, Rocky River Basalt Bluffs Heritage Area, and other conservation easements.
