Conservation Values: Contains varied natural habitats like hardwood forests, cypress wetlands, pine plantations, open ponds and wetlands. It has high priority habitats per GA DNR: open ponds and forested wetlands. Suitable for rare species including salamanders, turtles, birds, snakes and pitcher plants. Lies in high priority watersheds for GA DNR: Little Ogeechee, Savannah and Ogeechee Rivers. Forms headwaters of Little Ebenezer Creek, a tributary to Ebenezer Creek in the Savannah River watershed
