Conservation Values: Contains creeks, wetlands, forests and unique exposed granite flatrock. Two priority habitats per GA DNR: granite outcrops, oak-hickory forests, mesic forests. Habitat for state species of concern: globally vulnerable spotted scorpionweed, imperiled Piedmont lichen. Also potential for other rare pool sprite, draba, sparrow, indigo-bush, oak, trillium, olive, and spurge species. Protects high priority areas per GA DNR. Tributaries form Newford Creek.
