Conservation Values: Priority habitats: dry hardwood/pine forests and anthropogenic areas. Has rare rose gentian and provides habitat for smooth peavine, mountain witch-alder, wren, woodcock, crayfish, sage, flowers, skullcap, black bear, coralsnake, pinesnake. Protects Little/Big Canoe Creeks, designated strategic habitat and within top priority Coosa basin watershed per AL DCNR. Conserves rare species and priority habitats while protecting recognized sensitive creek system and vital Coosa River regional watershed.
