Conservation Values: Visibility from McClain Road, AL Highway 259, and Coosa County Road 338. Protection of a headwater of Oakachoy Creek. Within the WWF Southern Rivers and Streams priority area. Three cover types included in AL SWAP including Southern Piedmont Dry Oak-(Pine), Southern Piedmont Mesic Forest, and Southern Piedmont Small Floodplain and Riparian Forest. Considered "Resilient" in TNC report on Resilient and Connected Landscapes for Terrestrial Conservation. Underlain by Gneiss. 7 bird GCN.
