Conservation Values: Contains GA DNR SWAP natural habitats identified as priority habitats: Medium to Large Rivers, Mesic Hardwood forests, Oak-hickory Pine Forest, and Rocky or Cobbly River Shoals, and Rocky/Sandy River Bluffs. Contains habitat for and potential for occurrences of rare species: bald eagle, Oak elimia, Altamiha Shiner, Shoal Bass, and Pink ladyslipper. Contains rocky shoals on river. Protects approximately one mile of frontage along the South River and is located within the South River watershed (desingated as high priority).
