Conservation Values: Maritime forest, mesic forest, and pine woodland. (all three identified by SC DNR as priority habitats ). Contains Atlantic Coastal Fringe evergreen forest (globally rare). The CA is within the Atlantic Flyway, there are many birds that might be present. Located within the Wright River watershed which joins the Savannah River in a large estuary that flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Adjoins 29,000 acre Savannah National Wildlfie Refuge.
