Conservation Values: Protects native and rare plant and animal species in addition to protecting water quality in support of these habitats , contains a mosaic of chestnut oaks, cove forests, oak hickory forests, and hardwood and pine trees; NCWRC SWAP designated this region as a priority habitat; includes habitat for a threatened species of ginsing; provides important water quality protection for the Clark's Branch, a running creek formed by coves within the conservation area; will protect forests and open spaces.
