Conservation Values: Contains a notable variety of habitats: springs, a creek, and small rock shelters, Oak Forests and woodlands, Mixed Pine-Hardwood Forests, Rock Shelters, and Spring Runs (last four have been identified by GA DNR SWAP as priority habitats). A number of rare species have potential for occurrences on the CA: mountain crayfish, seepage salamander, mountain chorus frong, wild coffee, American false hellebore, American ginsing, pink ladyslipper, and silky bindweed. Contains a small creek which would be classified as state waters, and a spring, protects the upslope for Brier Creek. The CA is within the Coosawattee River watershed and protects a portion of the Coosawattee River. The CA is within close proximity to the Cohutta Wilderness Area, Rich Mountain Wilderness Area, Chattahoochee National Forest.
