Little Sequatchie River is in the 1982 NRI for potential natural or cultural values. Very high terrestrial and subterranean habitat in 2005 TN SWAP. Proximity to Savage Gulf Class II Natural-Scientific Natural Area, Grundy Lakes State Park, and Prentice Cooper State Forest. Area is known for its many caves and cave systems with two caves on property.
