Conservation Values: Protects the natural habitat of the NC Coastal Plains including the aquatic habitats of ditches and the edges of creeks and ponds and the Little Caw Caw Creek; the native species that are present are: Myrtle, Red Maple, Yaupon, Live oaks, Red Bud, Flowering Dogwood, Holly, Cabbage Palmetto, Eastern Fox Squirrel, beavers, otters, mallards, and a number of water fowl species, flickers and mocking birds; additionally, includes scenic areas from US 17.
