Conservation Values: The CA protects creeks (State waters) and contains quality wetlands, springs and ponds. The CA has as one of its boundaries the Walnut Creek, a watershed flowing into the nearby Ocmulgee River, which is one of the two rivers that forms the Altamaha River. The CA contains several habitat types: pine plantations, hardwood forests, oak-hickory forests, small cane breaks, small longleaf pine stand, open fields, wetlands, unusal boulder areas, and creek corridors. Provides habitat for rare species: Bachman's Sparrow, Altamaha Shiner, Goldstripe Darter, Four-toed Salamander, Swainson's Warbler, Robust Redhorse, Bog Spicebush, Ocmulgee Skullcap, Robust Redhorse, Bog Spicebush, Indian Olive, Yellow Flytrap, Ovate Catchfly, Relict trillium,
