Conservation Values: Located within the Southern Appalachain Mountains which has global biodiversity and supports ecological value based on the occurrence of rare and threatened species of flora and fauna. Contians wild turkey, grouse, various hawks and owls and other neotropic migratory birds, as well as, array of diverse rare plant species (bloodrot, black cohosh, black maple, and spotted mandarin).
