Conservation Values: Creates a total of 448 protected acres under CE; includes forests of mature mixed hardwoods, diverse plant habitats including understory plant communities of rhododendron, mountain laurel, and annual/perrenial herbs; includes wildlife habitats for large mammal species such as black bear and bobcat; protects the French Broad River watershed.
