Conservation Values: Contains panoramic views of Pisgah National Forest and the GSMNP, forests of mature mixed hardwoods, diverse plant habtiats including understory plant communities of rhododendron, mountain laurel, and annual/perrenial herbs (some are threatened or rare), seeps of high water quality, wildlife habitat for large mammal species such as black bear and bobcat, gray fox, gray squirrel, groundhog, raccoon, grosbeak, finch, and crossbill.
