Conservation Values: Contains forest, wetlands and springs, open wildlife field and an uncommon upland hardwood natural community with important granite outcrops. Protects four natural communities identified as priority habitat for conservation emphasis by GA DNR SWAP: Oak hickory Pine forests, granite outcrops, springs and spring runs, and Canebreaks. Provides appropriate habitat for rare species: four-toed salamander, lean crayfish, Bachman's sparrow, pale yellow trillium, and Nestronia.
