Conservation Values: Contains maturing and mixed hardwood forests. GA DNR SWAP has identified a natural communtiy that is present on the CA as a priority habitat: Oak Hickory Pine Forests. Contains a number of rare species that are of state importance: yellow trillium, bald eagle adn barn owl. Directly joins frontage along US Army Corps of Engineers buffer land protecting water quality on Lake Russell. Adjoins almost 1,000 acres of privately preserved land immediately to the south.
