Conservation Values: Contains diverse habitats - alluvial forests, wetlands, open areas, creek levees, fields. Two GA DNR priority habitats present: beaver ponds/freshwater marsh, mesic hardwood forests. Potential habitat for rare crayfish, salamander, snake, owl, oak, aster species. Within 1/2 mile of free flowing Broad River, designated high priority watershed. Conserves priority wetland forests that support rare species, while protecting ecologically significant GA river basin.
