Conservation Values: Protects water quality for Hightower Creek watershed that flows into the Hiawassee River (recognized trout stream) and Chatuge Reservoir. Contains a variety of habitats: wetlands, mature hardwood forests, Oak-hickory forests, rock outcrops, and creek corridors, Mesic Hardwood forests and small streams, springs and spring runs which have been identified by GA DNR as high priority habitats. Potential for occurrences of rare species: Pink Ladslipper.
