Mr. Malone retired in 2003 as Northeast Tennessee Regional Coordinator for Land Management from Bowater, Inc., Calhoun, TN, where he had worked since 1972. From 2003-2008 he developed an LLC for buying and selling property. Stan’s interest in nature began as a youth, with both parents interested in state parks and national forests, and his father working as a state forester at Harrison Bay State Park near Chattanooga. Stan’s community involvement includes service as the deacon and trustee for First Baptist Church, Kingston, Chairman of the Roane County Board of Public Utilities, and as a member of both the Hiawassee College Board of Governors and the Tennessee Forestry Association. He holds an AA degree from Hiawassee College, a BS degree in Forestry and an MS degree in Science Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Stan lives with his wife Brenda in Kingston Tennessee, and lists hiking, hunting, fishing, church activities and working the family tree farm as personal interests.
