Current Projects

The staff of Foothills Land Conservancy is currently negotiating with landowners on numerous conservation easements and a few potential gifts of property.  They vary in size from a two-acre addition to an existing conservation easement in Blount County to a several hundred-acre parcel in Sevier County, and another that is more than than 900 acres in Blount County.  There is a potential opportunity to contribute to the purchase of one or two parcels of land adjacent to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  If either purchase is finalized, the property would likely be given to the Park.
