Back in 2011, John & June Thompson worked with FLC to preserve their 195 acre working farm. This designated Tennessee Century Farm dates back over 180 years. In the image above June Thompson is holding the original deed dating back to 1824.
About 3/4 of the farm is under cultivation, with the remainder in forest, including some sections of old growth woods. Agricultural practices on the farm have included the cultivation of hay and soy bean along with beef cattle operations.
