“Here is your country. Do not let anyone take it or its glory from you. Do not let selfish men or greedy interests skim your country of its beauty, its riches, or its romance. The world and the future and your very children shall judge you accordingly as you deal with this sacred trust.” – President Teddy Roosevelt
The Foothills Land Conservancy is a non-profit organization whose purpose and mission are the protection and preservation of conservation values of natural and productive landscapes in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and their surroundings. It does so through the acquisition of interests in real property whose values include, but may not be limited to, agricultural productivity, ecological integrity, historic character, or managed public access by gift, purchase, or other lawful means.
